COMMITMENT TO CONSERVATION

Environmental concerns have moved to the forefront for master-planned communities, according to the Urban Land Institute. At Core Communities, we have always been mindful of the effects – direct and indirect – that the built environment has on the natural environment.

Our developments have been recognized for blending welcoming neighborhoods where residents can live, work and play with an unwavering commitment to preserving the natural integrity of the environment.

Our environmental team developed a wetlands mitigation-recycling program for the St. Lucie West community that has become a model for state regulatory agencies.
We were the first developer in Florida to successfully create a man-made habitat where Sand Hill Cranes come to nest.
We were also the first developer in Florida to use the reverse osmosis process for high-quality water purification, re-use water for irrigation and establish mitigation areas in storm water zones.

Development and environment: a delicate balance.
